Municipal WhatsApp Self-Service Chatbot

This document explains how users can request the deletion of their personal data related to their use of the WhatsApp municipal self-service chatbot (“the Service”).

The Service is provided by CCG Systems on behalf of various municipalities in South Africa.

1. What Data Can Be Deleted?

Because of how the WhatsApp chatbot works:

Data we (the service provider) can delete:

  • Chatbot interaction logs
  • Message metadata (timestamps, delivery logs)
  • Temporary technical data stored for message processing
  • Any identifiers stored by our platform for session purposes

We do not store municipal account data such as:

  • Customer profiles
  • Billing information
  • Meter readings
  • Account balances
  • Municipal service records

All municipal data is stored and managed exclusively by the respective municipality.
